While our esteemed Editor In Chief is breaking in his new Henri Lloyd sailing shoes in Cowes and wrapping up an eventful weekend on the front lines of the Round The Island Race, our printing facility elsewhere in the UK is clattering away like mad, dissecting 250+ pages of layout that my brother and I have crafted and finessed over the past couple of months. The final inks, cuts, and glues are being applied, ushering in the 2011 Edition of yachting's who's-who - The Dark Blue Book. This has been a super project, and we anticipate casually flipping through the finished piece during our celebratory international team soirée on Skype in the coming days. Much more than simply a print directory, this year's slick edition borders on mini coffee table book, with top notch imagery throughout, prominently featuring the incredible work of French photographer Christophe Launay. A significant showing of sailing's most influential people and organizations have hopped onboard, and we are especially honored to have our Introduction written by the legendary Jedi Master of the sea, French multihull specialist Loïck Peyron.
